ABSTRACT
Since August 2021, PSHB has become the largest Biosecurity response in WA state history. In December 2022 the City of Perth received its first formal notice to remove trees that had “succumbed” to the invasive beetle. Martin Weaver, Coordinator for Arboriculture will provide an overview of response of the situation, the dynamic nature of adaption to the response overtime and experiences. With over 4000 trees removed state-wide, the City of Perth response has only led to 34 of those, this presentation will lay out how this response has fought for a tree first outcome.
